This course is designed for professionals working with athletes recovering from ACL reconstruction, particularly those progressing toward return to sport and striving for true return to performance.

Course Description

Mind the Gap is a one-day continuing education course dedicated to addressing the often-overlooked transition between rehabilitation and sport performance in the late stages of ACL recovery.

This course delivers a high-level, integrated approach emphasizing neurologic recovery, deceleration mechanics, and real-world return-to-sport decision-making. Attendees will gain hands-on experience through both lecture and lab formats, and leave with practical tools to help athletes confidently and safely return to high-level sport with the goal of meeting or exceeding their prior performance levels.


Course Objectives

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Understand and coach movement and deceleration progressions with a focus on return to performance

  • Apply criterion-based return-to-sport frameworks relevant to real-world environments

  • Recognize and respond to neurologic adaptations following ACL reconstruction

  • Apply strategies to counteract the the neurological changes following ACL reconstruction to prepare athletes for the demands of high-level sport in late stages of rehab.

  • Collaborate effectively across rehabilitation, performance, and sport coaching domains

Cancellation policy

Live/In-Person Conference Policy

We reserve the right to cancel any in-person event up to four weeks before its scheduled start. In rare cases, events may be canceled with less notice due to unavoidable circumstances such as natural disasters, emergencies affecting the presenter(s), or similar extraordinary events. If a cancellation occurs, only the registration fee will be refunded. We are not liable for any additional expenses incurred by attendees (e.g., travel or lodging).

Conference materials and certificates of attendance will be emailed to participants in PDF format after the event concludes.



Cancellation & Refund Guidelines

  • 100% Refund: Available for cancellation requests received in writing (email is fine) at least six weeks before the first day of the event.

  • Partial Refund: Requests received between six and one week prior to the start date are eligible for a refund minus a $100 administrative fee.

  • No Refund: Unfortunately, cancellations made less than one week before the event cannot be refunded.

Refunds are typically processed within 3 business days of receiving your written request.

Please note: Refunds are not provided for individuals who only attend a portion of the event.
